ENG17

WG3 was delighted to note that with 17 new nominations submitted there were now 63 IALA Heritage Lighthouse on the website, originating from 27 national members, across 6 continents. Gillian Burns (NLB) spent considerable time uploading all these new nominations to the Heritage webpages for which WG3 was very grateful. Previously uploaded nominations were also reviewed for consistency and with Secretariat help glitches in the webpage which prevented the use of the ‘Country’ filter were resolved. As described in section 1.2.1 of this report, Task Leaders were assigned to support the ongoing management of the IALA webpage content.

The Heritage webpages had been updated to show Heritage Lighthouse of the Year 2024 – Faro Di Genova ‘Lanterna’, Italy. Seong Woo SON agreed to ensure that, in discussion with IALA Secretariat, he is familiar with the process for updating the website over the course of ENG18 to be ready to add the nominations for IALA HLY 2025 ahead of ENG19.
