1.8.1 Presentations
During the meeting there were 7 presentations given on PNT related technology and projects.

  • High integrity standardisation in RTCM SC-134 given by Roberto Capua, RTCM SC chair;
  • RMOBASS (R-Mode in the Baltic Sea) given by Stefan Gewies, DLR;
  • IWETT (use of E-GNSS/SBAS for inland navigation) given by Gergely Mezo, ROSE;
  • EGNOS Maritime Service and IEC standard publication given by Jose-Luis Martin, ESSP;
  • Development of procedures and requirements for the recognition of augmentation systems in the Worldwide radionavigation system given by Jose-Luis Martin, ESSP
  • RIPTIDE Project given by Florin Mistrapau, GMV;
  • And S-240 developments given by Han Younghoon, KRISO.

1.8.2 Liaison with RTCM
The WG2 noted the input paper “Liason note from RTCM” and created a liaison note to RTCM on “regarding update of RTCM 10402.3 Standard”
Action item:
  • The Secretariat is requested to forward the liaison note “RTCM Liaison note draft 2024-04-10b” to RTCM.

1.8.3 Review and update current documentation under the purview of PNT WG
The Committee has worked together with DTEC committee on a proposal for a Workshop. The proposal was finished during this Committee meeting.
Action item:The Secretariat is requested to forward the “Draft output_Revised Workshop proposal on future radionavigation and radiocommunication systems_after WG” to the Council for approval.
1.8.4 Input to MSP, Integrity considerations for resilient PNT, cybersecurity impact for PNT data, datum considerations
The WG2 reviewed the Liaison note from ARM Committee to all committees (ENG18-3.2.0.5) on Progress on Cyber Security Guideline. Some amendments were made and the updated section was forwarded to the chair of the ENG Committee for further considerations.
1.8.5 Monitor developments in GNSS, DGNSS, radar, resilient PNT, e-Pelorus, terrestrial systems, R-Mode, inertial and any other relevant areas etc.
The WG2 reviewed input paper ENG18-3.2.2.9 “Liaison note to ENG on VDE-SAT”. No work was progressed during this session.
1.8.6 Develop and maintain relevant product specifications
The Committee reviewed input paper ENG18-3.2.2.3 “Progress of S-240 update” and the information given during the presentation. The committee also requested to review and test it until before ENG 19.
The committee reviewed the work plan and identified work to be carried out over the next sessions with respect to R-Mode. The work plan was updated accordingly.
